Ivy Tech to host Health Information Technology event
BLOOMINGTON – Ivy Tech Bloomington’s Health Information Technology (HIT) program is hosting an information-sharing event on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from Noon to 1 p.m. in Ivy Tech’s Lamkin Hall on the main campus. Students and the public are invited to attend.
The event is being hosted in coordination with the American Health Information Management Association’s 22nd Annual HIT Week during Nov. 6-12. The national theme is “Accurate Health Information for Care You Trust.”
The local HIT event at Ivy Tech will cover creating electronic health records for yourself or your loved ones, protecting confidentiality and sharing information between doctors. Free pizza will be served.
The focus of Health Information and Technology Week is to raise awareness and celebrate the evolution of Health Information Management and HIT professionals, and the benefits of their profession working collectively to deliver quality healthcare through quality information.
Ivy Tech Bloomington’s main campus is located at 200 Daniels Way, on the west side of Bloomington.
