Ivy Tech invites employers to Achieve Your Degree information session

Program allows employers to offer college education to employees with no upfront cost

BLOOMINGTON – Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus is hosting a “Lunch and Learn” information session on Tuesday, September 12 for employers who wish to learn more about the Achieve Your Degree program. Lunch and Learn will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on main campus, located at 200 Daniels Way. The Achieve Your Degree program is a collaboration between Ivy Tech Community College and employers to offer working adults the opportunity to earn a college education with no upfront cost to them.

“In contrast with tuition reimbursement programs that many employers already offer, Achieve Your Degree is a tuition deferral program that allows working adults to earn a college certificate or associate degree with no upfront cost,” said Jessica Duncan, Achieve Your Degree coordinator. “Statewide, Ivy Tech is now partnered with 140 companies to offer the Achieve Your Degree program, and we anticipate that number to grow.”

Local employers Cook Group, Old National Bank, Singota Solutions, and German American Bank have partnered with Ivy Tech Bloomington to offer the Achieve Your Degree program to their employees. Ivy Tech’s 140 Achieve Your Degree partnerships include smaller to larger employers from a variety of industries including hospitals, banks, schools, and manufacturing companies.
